Lab Assignment: Projectile Motion Laboratory: Description
Developing a Hypothesis
In this experiment you will determine the horizontal and vertical velocity of a projectile and compare the effects of different heights and velocities on this projectile motion.
Create a hypothesis of what you think will be the results of this experiment.
- Under what conditions will the projectile have the greatest velocity when it hits the ground?
Defend your hypothesis with your knowledge of projectile motion. Your answers will be part of your lab write-up that you submit to your teacher.
Objectives
- Implement experimental procedures to understand projectile motion.
- Generate data about the horizontal and vertical motion of a projectile.
- Compare the motion of projectiles launched at different heights and initial velocities.
- Interpret and evaluate graphs of projectile motion.
